Thelma: Well, Darryl, that's my husband.
J.D.: Daryl?
Thelma: Yeah, he says he's not ready yet. He says he's still too much of a kid himself. He kinda prides himself on being infantile.
Louise: He's got a lot to be proud of.
Thelma: Louise and him don't get along.
Louise: That's putting it mildly.
Thelma: She thinks he's a pig.
Louise: I KNOW he's a pig. 

一段在车上J.D.和她们的谈话，里面有Thelma对Darryl的描述，说Daryl为自己being infantile非常自豪。Darryl绝对是那种没有女人在看清楚情况之后会下嫁的男人，控制狂，自我中心，暴躁。一个连在天朗气清的早晨都不会有好心情的男人，一个不断把Thelma当佣人甚至是奴婢使的男人，一个自己一天在外工作却永远不准许妻子出家门的男人。Louise不止一次的质问Thelma她到底是嫁给了个丈夫还是个家教甚严的父亲。Louise更直接的将他定义为a pig。

Louise: Now if you think he knows anything, hang up the phone, because the line will be tapped.
Thelma: [Dials the number]
Darryl: [Exchanges looks with police, then answers phone] Hello?
Thelma: Darryl, it's me.
Darryl: [sounding overly cheerful] Thelma! Hello!
Thelma: [hangs up the phone] He knows. 

这是警方在Daryl和Thelma家安装了窃听器之后的一段通话。Thelma只听了一句话，就知道警方已经进驻。
因为他这次听到的是Darryl的一句Hello，而不是劈头盖脸的大喊大叫。因为他从来不对她客气。

--Harlan, the guy at the bar, who attempted to rape Thelma and shot by Louise
Louise: You let her go, you fuckin' asshole, or I'm gon' splatter your ugly face all over this nice car! 
Louise: Turn around....In the future, when a woman's crying like that, she ain't having any fun!
Harlan:Bitch!  I should have gone ahead and fucked her.
Louise: What did you say?

在Harlan要强奸Thelma时及时出现的Louise，原本只是一心想救了Thelma就走，却在Harlan“Suck my dick, you bitches!”的挑衅下拉动了扳机，开始了她们的末路之旅。

J.D.，暂不讨论当时还是个嫩青头的Brad Pitt到底有多讨女人喜爱，这个角色确实是令这两位女子再也不能回头的关键。当他半骗半偷走了Louise 6700美元准备用于逃走的积蓄时，第一次使Louise彷徨、濒临崩溃，但也是Thelma不再怯懦，不再在面对问题时躲在Louise身后，变得越发坚强的开始。之后，她们开始干真正的疯狂事。。。

J.D. :All right.  Then I'd waltz right in...and then I'd just kinda waltz on in and I'd say, "Ladies, gentlemen. Let's see who wins the prize for keeping their cool. Simon says, everybody down on the floor. Now, nobody loses their head, then nobody lose their head.  Ahhh, you sir. Yeah, you do the honors. Take that cash and put it in that bag right there, and you got an amazing story to tell all your friends.  If not, well, you got a tag on your toe. You decide.  It's simple as that."  Then I'd just slip on out. And, uh, get the hell out of Dodge, yeah.
Thelma:My goodness. You're sure gentlemanly about it.
J.D.: Well, I've always believed that if done properly, armed robbery doesn't have to be an unpleasant experience. 

后来Thelma真的用了J.D.所教这个很妙的方法进行了一次gentlemanly的armed robbery.

--the state police, who stop them in the middle of nowhere
State Police Pilot: [Thelma holds him at gunpoint and orders him into the trunk of the car, he sobs and begs] Please I have a wife and kids
Thelma: Oh really, well your lucky. You be sweet to them, especially your wife. My husband wasn't sweet to me, look how I turned out. 

她们被截停，当警察将Louise叫上警车，并准备用无线电呼叫后援时，Thelma冷静的拔枪。最后，她们拿了警枪、警皮带、警太阳镜，打烂了警车的无线电对讲机，还把那个倒霉的警察锁在了自己车子的尾箱里。不过，Thelma在要求警察自己爬进车尾箱时讲的一句话才是重点。

在路上几次偶遇的运油车司机，这种人在公路上对女性言语的侮辱很常见，但正常不代表正确，她们俩却很可能是第一例让司机付出沉重代价的女人。当那司机不肯道歉，她们举枪，打爆运油车的四个轮胎。司机开始粗话连篇，她们对视，确定他是不会道歉的了，然后再次举枪，这次对准的是运油车的油桶......她们这次为所有在Road trip上受辱的女性进行了个小小的报复。

全剧最后一幕
Thelma: What in the hell is this?
Louise: I don't know.  I think, I think it's the goddamn Grand Canyon.
Thelma: Isn't it beautiful?
Louise: Yeah, it's something else, all right.
Thelma: Oh my God!  It looks like the army.
Louise: All this for us?
Officier: Place your hands in plain view! Any failure to obey that command will be considered an act of aggression against us....I repeat. Turn your engine off and place your hands in plain view.
Thelma: What are you doing?
Louise: I'm not giving up.
Officier: I repeat. Cut your engine off and place your hands in plain view.
Thelma Okay, then listen. Let's not get caught.
Louise: What are you talking about?
Thelma: Let's keep going?
Louise: What do you mean?
Thelma: Go!
Louise: You sure?
Thelma: Yeah. Hit it.

Louise踩紧油门，车子飞出悬崖......
